Our client is a premium information company specialising in analysis, consulting and research and is part of arguably the fastest growing business intelligence companies in the world. Their leading intelligence and services provide advanced analytics, indicators and forecasts to help clients make better, more informed decisions on a global scale. They now have an exciting opening within the Oil and Gas sector for experienced new business focused Business Development Manager.
  
As a Business Development Manager, you will:   

  • Work in the vast Oil and Gas sector, with a focus on generating analysis, consulting and research revenue from a predefined list of 100-200 tier 1 prospects
  • Develop prospects into pipeline business through cold calling, networking and leveraging contacts
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead development through to onboarding and account growth
  • Ultimately, achieve and exceed quarterly sales revenue targets and contribute to the larger initiatives of the company
  • Travel on a regular basis (international)
  • Move into a more account management focused role as your key account portfolio grows
The ideal candidate will:   
  • Be educated to degree level
  • Be intelligent, inquisitive and possess a minimum of 4+ years’ previous consultative, new business sales experience (media, information, sponsorship, recruitment, technology etc.)
  • Possess business acumen, motivation and a dynamic yet professional approach to new business sales
  • Have first class communication and presentation skills and the ability to liaise with c-level contacts across a large geographical territory
  • Demonstrate a consultative and strategic mindset
The successful candidate can expect a negotiable base salary of 45-55k dependent upon prior sales experience, with a first-year achievable OTE of 70-100k plus additional and generous benefits.
