As a leading publisher, our client produces a well respected medical journal, which reaches close to 500k subscribers worldwide. Through their product reviews, symposiums and industry information, they deliver vital data, direct to those working in healthcare. They now have an exciting opening for experienced, new business focused, Business Development Manager.

As a Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Join a growing team based in London, where the focus is on generating revenue in the pharmaceutical and healthcare markets
  • Develop prospects into pipeline business through cold calling, networking and leveraging sales opportunities
  • Perform consistent research to understand the relevant issues in the market and communicate those issues effectively to senior level buyers
  • Ultimately, achieve and exceed quarterly sales revenue targets, negotiate deals with new clients and contribute to the larger initiatives of the company

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be educated to degree level
  • Be intelligent, inquisitive and possess a minimum of 1-3+ years’ previous consultative, new business sales experience (media, information, medical, technology, life science, pharma, healthcare etc)
  • Possess business acumen, motivation and a dynamic yet professional approach to new business sales
  • Have first class communication and presentation skills and the ability to liaise with customers at all levels across a large geographical territory

The successful candidate can expect a negotiable base salary of 25-40k dependent upon prior sales experience, with a first-year achievable OTE of 55-115k plus additional benefits.
