The previous weeks we started talking about the Sales Interview Process for Graduates and we went through the "Interview Basics - Part I" , the "Questions to consider before your interview - Part II and Part III".

Another important thing every candidate has to do before going to an interview is preparing his own questions.

4) Prepare your own Questions

At the end of the interview, make sure that you have 5 or 6 intelligent and relevant questions to ask and let the interviewer know that you are very interested in the position being offered. Questions may include:
What training is provided and what career development opportunity is there?

  • What are the key traits demonstrated in your top sales people?
  • What does your top sales person earn?
  • How will I be managed in the role?
  • What resources will be available to me?
  • What proportion of your sales team are over target?
  • What is the structure of the training scheme?
  • Who are your biggest competitors?
  • How would you differentiate yourself from your competitors?
  • What is your background and how long have you been in the company?
  • How would you describe the company culture here?
  • What ambitions does the company have for the future?
  • Where could I be in 3/4/5 years with the company?
  • How does the training scheme work?
  • Have you any reservations about me?
