This premium information provider is arguably the global leader, specialising in analysis, consulting and research, they deliver advanced analytics, indicators and forecasts on a global scale. Due to planned growth within their Consulting Division, they have an exciting and immediate opening for experienced and senior Business Development Director.

As a London based Business Development Director, you will:

Build and lead an international sales team
Develop and implement a business plan and sales strategy
Ensure attainment of company goals and profitability through the direct management of a multi-million-pound targets
Initiate and coordinate the development of plans to penetrate new markets
Analyse sales statistics, review market analysis to determine business needs and formulate policies
Recruit, hire and train/coach direct reports for maximum performance
Manage the performance and development of sales team members
Drive revenue within both new and existing accounts

The ideal Business Development Director will:

Come from a consulting-led role from within the information sector
Possess 10+ years sales and leadership experience
Demonstrate strong leadership skills
Possess a solid academic background
Have built and managed international sales teams (from scratch)
Have previously managed sales targets of 10+ million
Possess a proven/documented record of sales results (personal and team-based)
Have highly productive communication skills
Be articulate, professional, credible and ethical in leadership, approach and result delivery
Have sound networking skills and a keen eye for growth opportunities
Display hunger, motivation and a true drive for high-level performance
Survive in a fast-growth, dynamic and chaotic environment

The successful candidates can expect an initial base salary of 120-140k with an uncapped and very achievable OTE of 240-280k in the first year. In addition, there is an excellent benefits package on offer.
