Our client is a global leading provider of data and intelligence across alternative asset classes – supporting organisations within private equity, hedge funds, venture capital, real estate, infrastructure and many more. Since their foundation in 2003, they have grown consistently year-on-year, building a reputation as the most reliable source of data, insights and tools for alternative asset professionals. They now have a rare and exciting opening for a Business Development Manager to focus on existing account development.

As a Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Work in a new business capacity, targeting circa 200 top existing accounts
  • Research, identify and generate new sales revenue
  • Map out accounts, target new teams and up-sell services
  • Cover a large EMEA territory with international travel required
  • Manage the full sales cycle from identification through to close and implementation
  • Build and manage a pipeline with varying lead times (2-26 weeks) and 20-100k order values

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be educated to degree level, intelligent, inquisitive and possess a minimum of 3-8 years’ previous consultative sales experience
  • Possess subscription-based sales experience gained into the finance or alternative asset sectors (preferred)
  • Have business acumen, motivation and a dynamic yet professional approach to sales
  • Demonstrate first class communication and presentation skills with the ability to liaise with customers at all levels across a large international territory
  • Have demonstrable experience in managing complex deals
  • Be highly organised, proactive and have an entrepreneurial flair

The successful candidate can expect a negotiable base salary of 35-50k dependent upon prior sales experience, with a first-year achievable OTE of 75-100k plus generous benefits and genuine opportunities for career progression.
