As a well-established provider of business intelligence for the legal and IP markets, our client informs and engages decision-makers worldwide. Through publishing insights, their easy to use platform and well-attended networking events, they deliver timely information to a growing global audience. With the launch of new products, they now have an exciting opening for experienced, new business focused, Business Development Manager.

As a Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Join a growing team based in London, where the focus is on generating revenue in the legal and IP markets
  • Develop prospects into pipeline business through cold calling, networking and leveraging sales opportunities
  • Perform consistent research to understand the relevant issues in the market and communicate those issues effectively to senior level buyers/contributors
  • Ultimately, achieve and exceed quarterly sales revenue targets, negotiate deals with new clients and contribute to the larger initiatives of the company
  • Work in a predominately internal capacity

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be educated to degree level
  • Be intelligent, inquisitive and possess a minimum of 2-3+ years’ previous consultative, new business sales experience (media, information, medical, technology, legal, finance etc.)
  • Possess business acumen, motivation and a dynamic yet professional approach to new business sales
  • Have first class communication and presentation skills and the ability to liaise with customers at all levels across a large geographical territory

The successful candidate can expect a negotiable base salary of 25-35k dependent upon prior sales experience, with a first year achievable OTE of 37-47k plus additional benefits.
