Our client, part of a FTSE listed Information provider, delivers events and conferences to the technology sector. With their growing portfolio of well attended, large scale events focussed on hot tech sectors, they are well placed for further growth. They currently have an immediate and exciting opening for a Business Development Manager, to join a highly successful team based in EC4.

As a Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Work closely with event producers to identify target markets
  • Focus on both existing accounts and new business activity
  • Research and map out prospects and accounts
  • Manage a consistent volume of outbound calls
  • Refine, update and continually manage the value proposition and sales strategy
  • Travel to events (as required)
  • Become a subject matter expert for circa 5 annual events

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be degree educated and possess 2-3+ years B2B sales
  • Demonstrate experience gained a fast paced B2B environment (event sales preferred)
  • Have first class communication and presentation skills
  • Possess exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and have a can-do attitude
  • Be flexible, multi-tasking and steady under pressure
  • Have a high level of autonomy and self-motivation

The successful candidate will be offered a base salary of 30-37k with a realistic OTE of 51-65k plus additional and generous benefits, which include private medical, pension. Gym discounts and numerous schemes
