As a leading financial company focused on both consumer and commercial lending, our client continues to gain market share. To maintain their enviable position, they now have an immediate need for a Customer Service Specialist.

As a CBD based Customer Service Specialist, you will:

  • Reduce delinquency and losses through the effective management of a portfolio with regards to compliance obligations and excellent customer service
  • Establish a positive rapport and treat customers with empathy and sensitivity whilst ensuring a timely collection of arrears
  • Use effective negotiation skills to identify and implement alternative options for mutual benefit for the customer and the company
  • Make autonomous financial decisions the best benefit for the customer
  • Mitigate the risk of potential loss through timely collection activity on accounts that are in arrears
  • Assess and negotiate applications for restructure and variation to existing contracts for customers who qualify for “Financial Hardship” assistance
  • Negotiate quality arrangements to cure accounts
  • Resolve problems by developing alternative solutions
  • Deliver effective notation and explanation of customer situation on system
  • Display thorough knowledge of requirements under the Privacy Act, NCCP and Trade Practices Act including ACCC/ASIC Guidelines
  • Liaise with the company’s solicitors, Introducers, mercantile agents, auction houses and other key service providers

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills and traits:

  • Previous experience of working in a customer service environment within an office and working with clients over the telephone
  • Previous experience as a Loans Customer Advisor would be ideal
  • You must have great problem solving and negotiation skills and be used to working in challenging environments
  • Previous experience of handling difficult and challenging scenarios over the telephone
  • Complete compliance training and following all (approved) compliance procedures
