Head of Sales - Fintech into Transport

Our client is a rapidly growing FinTech business and is the world's only payment processor specialising in transit payments. With an International footprint, they work with clients across the globe and have a number of contracts with high profile transport providers. With payment processing technology on over 10,000 buses in the UK and Ireland alone, the business is now looking for a Head of Sales to accelerate their growth.

Responsible for sales across Europe the Head of Sales will be required to travel extensively, with approximately 40% of time away from home. This is an exciting time to join a hypergrowth start-up looking for a 'hands-on' sales leader who can make a real difference!

Role Overview

  • 100% new business focussed
  • Sales cycles can vary from 3-12 months
  • Management of one salesperson
  • Define sales strategy and identify key commercial opportunities
  • Establish and manage a pipeline of sales opportunities across the UK and Europe
  • Build effective relationships with major accounts and key industry partnerships to identify new growth opportunities
  • Over time, build and manage a sales team with a global scope
  • Establish and manage sales processes, including regulated procurement responses
  • Identify and select marketing and event opportunities and deliver these activities within an agreed budget

Key Skills Required

  • 7+ years B2B sales experience
  • 2 years within FinTech or technology background
  • Understanding of the transport sector 
  • Experience in closing deals with sales cycles of 3+ months
  • High standard of technical literacy
  • Track record of exceeding targets

The successful candidate will receive a Basic Salary of £75-80k with a further 15-20k OTE plus a great benefits package.
