At the forefront of drug discovery, molecular design and clinical development, our client is building a team to deliver insights from large-scale genomic analyses. To ensure the quality, robustness and longevity of analysis and data pipelines, this world leader requires a Machine Learning Engineer to work in close collaboration with research scientists.
As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be required to:
- Drive engineering excellence in the development of research software
- Develop the interfaces between machine learning models and the scientists who interpret their output
- Work closely with the Director of DevOps to ensure the cloud infrastructure and processes are available
- Contribute to the design of the computing infrastructure
- Build and support end-to-end machine learning pipelines, from data acquisition to model deployment
- Champion the introduction of MLOps practices to ensure successful delivery of AI/ML models
- Design, build and maintain databases that store, link and serve the large volumes of data generated and analysed
- Support scientists in data acquisition, validation and model development, validation and deployment
- Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in computer science or similar
- A background in machine learning, artificial intelligence or data science
- Hands-on experience of the software development lifecycle, including agile development
- Experience in development using Linux, Python, Git, and Docker
- Substantial, practical experience in software development and delivering ML/scientific models
- A strong understanding of data technologies including SQL and ETL
- Experience of data visualisation for machine learning models and their findings
- AWS / Cloud
- Full stack development (preferred)
- Clear spoken and written communication skills
- Enthusiasm about working with a diverse, cross-functional team
- Experience or interest in Biotech
- A base package of 90-100k
