Sales Team Leader

Our client produces an ever-increasing number of annual events and thousands of business executives with tailored and practical conferences, keeping them up to date with industry trends, technological developments, and regulatory announcements across many vertical markets. With offices on five continents, our client has grown to become the industry leader in planning, delivering, and managing conferences, tradeshows, workshops, seminars and more. They currently have an immediate and exciting opening for a Sales Team Leader in NYC.
As a Sales Team Leader, you can expect:
- A base salary of 70-80k

- Lead from the front in terms of call process best practice, calling clients directly and assisting team members with sales
- Drive consistent KPI performance across the team whilst leading from the front with personal activity
- Generate, meet, and strive to exceed personal and team sales quotas
- Accurately forecast and communicate future sales and revenue performance
- Provide updates and feedback on product performance in the marketplace
- Recruit, interview, train, and onboard new sales representatives
- Manage, mentor, and lead sales team members
- Minimum 2+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in a research, hospitality, or event service environment. Previous management experience is useful but not required
- Natural leadership style, who sets examples that others will follows
- A highly motivated self-starter, able to build credibility and quickly ‘add value’ to a team of high performing sales professionals
- A genuine passion for training and the development of their team members, ideally with some experience of delivering best practice sales process training
- Metrics oriented and adept at analytics and "knowing your team's numbers"
- Confident and assertive with experience of stakeholder management & cross-departmental communication
- Results-driven, with proven experience of driving either individual and/or team performance to target
- Ability to work in both office and remote environments. Must have exceptional time management skills and work ethic
