Our client, a household named financial institution, is focused on delivering a first class service to consumers and businesses worldwide. With their on-going commitment to provide a safe place to complete financial transactions, they have an immediate and exciting opening for a Senior Data Product Manager to be based in London

As an experienced and Senior Data Product Manager, you will:

  • Focus on the definition, discovery, analysis, visualisation and comprehension of data
  • Drive the data innovation and advanced analytics agenda with a focus on business engagement and managing project delivery
  • Cover capabilities including data architecture, modelling and analytics
  • Leverage unique data sets to develop innovative data solutions for customers and colleagues that deliver significant business impact
  • Liaise directly with internal and external stakeholders to develop relationships and identify opportunities to deliver value through data solutions
  • Support teams in developing propositions and business cases in accordance with business challenges or opportunities, integrating various sources of insights and data
  • Lead large scale projects co-ordinating between front and back office functions and translating business requirements to technical team members including data scientists and data engineers
  • Interpret data and translate it into actionable insights

Skills and requirements required for this role include:

  • Previous experience and proven track record of working in data strategy, ideally in financial sector
  • Passionate about the potential of data and data science to deliver business value
  • Ability to quickly understand and address complex business problems through standard and innovative analytical tools and methods
  • Capability to integrate different insights to build a relevant picture of a customer need, area of opportunity or challenges for a client
  • Solid project management skills to manage and collaborate with cross-function project teams (Agile methodology)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders
  • strong understanding of data infrastructure and systems and how this can help overcome data issues and challenges
  • Statistical background preferred, as well as knowledge of R, Python, SQL, Hadoop, Java
