Due to continued growth and their ongoing commitment to excellence, they have an opening for a Technical Support Engineer to join their successful London team.
As a Technical Support Engineer, you will:
- Investigate reported technical issues and give advice to customers and development teams to help provide resolutions
- Work with customers and 1st line support to clearly identify the nature of reported issues
- Clearly document and describe issues requiring development changes
- Monitor and prioritise requests and ensure tickets are current and complete
- Proactively manage your workload and adjust/prioritise based on new situations
- Identify and manage the timely escalation of tickets that have been allocated to you
- Identify the root cause of incidents and recommend actions to take
- Handle difficult situations
- Create internal and external Knowledge Base Articles
- Ensure that relevant support procedures and SLAs are followed and adhered to
- Adopt a working methodology where quality underpins every internal and external interaction
- 3 years experience in a technical support role
- Strong knowledge of best practices in SQL Server Databases
- Good understanding of Microsoft Azure infrastructure
- Experience of .NET and Microsoft software stack (advantageous)
- Experienced in debugging websites (advantageous)
- Certification in SQL Database and/or Microsoft Azure (highly desirable)
- Proactive problem avoidance

- Excellent multi-tasking capability with strong prioritisation skills
- Committed and driven to deliver results
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised and self-sufficient
- Hands-on experience of support tools (Zendesk etc.)
- Fast learner and critical thinker
- Experience in the Education (advantageous)
