Our client, a household named financial institution, is focused on delivering a first class service to consumers and businesses worldwide. With their on-going commitment to provide a safe place to complete transactions, they have an immediate and exciting opening for a Test Automation Lead to be based south of Manchester.

As an experienced Test Automation Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Oversee, and provide governance and control over test automation frameworks
  • Ensure testing across multiple teams is automation focused and meets the organisation’s strategic goals
  • Demonstrating a return on investment for all test automation focused activities
  • Acting as a point of escalation and resolution for all technical test automation issues
  • Ensuring all test automation plans are shared, prioritised and communicated so testing between all is harmonious
  • Providing status report information, escalating issues and problems which demand management attention and resolution
  • Coaching the wider testing community in test automation - provide technical direction, guidance, and hands-on management to a team of 10
  • Completing operational activities e.g. forecasts, cost recovery, timesheets and expenses
  • Resource planning, cost estimation, budget development and cost control for the application/projects in scope for test automation

Skills and requirements required for this role include:

  • ISTQB/QAI certification
  • Java development
  • Strong understanding and experience of test automation frameworks e.g. Selenium, QTP etc. and experience of using BDD/TDD techniques
  • Testing terminologies processes and tools
  • Developing and maintaining new test automation frameworks within large organisations
  • Effective communication with management, peers, and subordinates, both verbally and in writing
  • Rich technology experience and good exposure to latest advancements in Testing
  • Working with multi-location teams
