Our client produces an ever-increasing number of annual events for thousands of business executives. With tailored and practical conferences aimed at keeping decision makers up to date with industry trends, technological developments, and regulatory announcements, our client has grown to become the industry leader in planning, delivering, and managing conferences, tradeshows, workshops, seminars and more. They currently have an immediate and exciting opening for a Sales Manager in NYC to focus on sponsorship revenue within the Defense and Security sector.
Sales Manager rewards:  
  • A base salary of 100-115k
  • Uncapped 185-200k OTE

Sales Manager responsibilities:  
  • Drive sponsorship revenue for defence and security-based events
  • Act as a selling Manager carrying both personal and team quotas
  • Play a pivotal role in delivering growth
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 3 sales professionals
  • Prospect for new revenue streams
  • Drive consistent team KPI performance
  • Lead from the front, driving activity and following best practices/processes
  • Accurately forecast and report pipeline activity
  • Develop and implement sales strategies
Sales Manager skills, experience, and traits:  
  • Degree educated
  • 5+ years in B2B sales and sales management
  • Proven sponsorship, conference, or event sales exposure
  • Strong knowledge/interest in the defense and security sectors
  • A record of sales achievement with strong leadership qualities
  • Intelligent, articulate and data-driven
  • Structured, motivated, and new business-minded
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • A mature outlook and strong commercial awareness
  • NYC based
