Account Director – Account-Based Marketing (ABM) | B2B Technology
Hybrid – Reading (3 days per week in-office, Tuesday & Thursday mandatory)
Salary: £75–80k + 10% bonus (competitive and negotiable)


Certus is partnering with a well-established B2B demand generation agency to appoint an Account Director (ABM) to lead strategy across high-value, enterprise technology accounts.


The business works with some of the world’s largest technology brands and specialises in pipeline creation through integrated, data-led marketing. Having evolved from a traditional demand model into a full go-to-market agency, they are coming off their strongest year to date, driven by clearer role ownership, sharper strategy, and a strong commercial proposition.


This is a senior, strategy-led role, suited to a true ABM specialist from an agency background. The Account Director will not be responsible for day-to-day campaign delivery, but will own the strategic foundation of client engagements — shaping GTM direction, influencing pipeline outcomes, and acting as a senior advisor to both clients and internal teams.


The role

  • Own end-to-end ABM strategy across one-to-one, one-to-few, and one-to-many programmes
  • Define enterprise GTM and demand strategies aligned to complex buying groups
  • Partner with Sales during pitches and proposal development to shape winning ABM approaches
  • Work closely with Data & Insights teams to define ICPs, targeting, and account selection
  • Translate client objectives into pipeline-driven marketing strategies
  • Hand execution to Client Services and Creative teams while retaining strategic accountability
  • Re-engage throughout live campaigns to optimise, refine, and course-correct
  • Identify opportunities to expand ABM engagements and contribute to service-line revenue targets
The profile
  • Strong agency background is essential
  • Deep, hands-on ABM specialism within B2B technology or SaaS
  • Proven experience defining enterprise GTM and demand strategies
  • Highly analytical and data-led, with a clear focus on pipeline and commercial outcomes
  • Comfortable collaborating across Sales, Data, Client Services, and Creative teams
  • Proactive, commercially minded, and confident operating in a high-performance environment
