Senior Data Engineer – Permanent Full Time! $140K-$190K base + super maximum

Key Responsibilities
- Lead our data architecture end-to-end, from ingestion and modelling through to reporting
- Optimise data pipelines, infrastructure, and models to enhance data quality, performance, and accessibility
- Collaborate with analysts and data teams across the broader business to align systems and practices
- Partner with stakeholders to deliver insights, dashboards, and data solutions that support decision-making
- Implement and uphold engineering best practices to ensure reliability and scalability across the data stack
- Explore and advocate for opportunities to embed AI into our data workflows and analytics
- Promote best-practice data management, governance, and impactful communication
- Continuously monitor and enhance the performance of key tools including dbt, BigQuery, Metabase, and Segment
- Support compliance with data privacy, security, and governance standards
- 5+ years' experience in data engineering or analytics engineering
- Advanced SQL skills and proficiency in a language like Python
- Experience working with a modern data stack (e.g. dbt, BigQuery, Fivetran, Metabase, GCP)
- Strong data modelling abilities and a history of building scalable, maintainable pipelines
- Comfortable working with event-driven data and marketing analytics platforms
- Enthusiasm for using AI to enhance data architecture, insights, and decision-making
- Clear communicator with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders
- Proven ability to work autonomously, make sound decisions, and deliver results end-to-end
- Eager to contribute to a fast-paced, high-impact environment where your work will make a difference
- Experience in fintech, consumer tech, or B2C data environments
- Exposure to Go or interest in contributing to Go-based microservices
- Familiarity with reverse ETL and customer data platforms (e.g. Segment, Braze, Branch)
- Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in regulated industries
