Business Development Manager — Data & AI Solutions

Reading area (Hybrid / Field-based)
Salary: £70,000–£80,000 base + £70,000–£80,000 OTE
Type: Full-time, permanent

Are you a hunter-style sales professional with experience selling Data & AI services? We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth in a newly-launched Data & AI practice as we expand our enterprise digital transformation offerings.
This is a key commercial role for an ambitious, globally-operating technology business entering its next scale-up phase. You’ll be selling high-value data modernisation, AI-readiness and cloud transformation services into mid-market and enterprise environments.

What you'll do
  • Drive net-new business and build your own pipeline
  • Sell data modernisation, cloud data platform, and AI-readiness services
  • Target CIOs, CTOs, CDOs and IT leadership within mid-market organisations
  • Manage sales cycles of ~3–6 months with typical ACVs £100k+
  • Work closely with leadership and delivery teams to shape client solutions
  • Help inform go-to-market messaging and support early lead-gen initiatives
  • Later be supported by marketing and SDRs as the practice scales
What you'll bring
  • Proven track record in Data / AI / Cloud services sales
  • Experience selling into mid-market / enterprise with £100k+ deal values
  • Hunter mentality — comfortable generating pipeline from day one
  • Knowledge of data platform modernisation, managed services, or AI readiness programs
  • Ability to engage credibly with senior technology leaders
  • Understanding of consultative sales and ROI-driven value propositions

Working model
