The Role

The SME Sales Manager will be responsible for leading, coaching, and scaling a team of SME Sales Associates and Sales Executives. The role carries full ownership of SME revenue performance, driving key metrics and ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets.
You will play a hands-on role in deal strategy, coaching, and sales execution while building a culture of accountability and high performance.
  
Key Responsibilities
  
  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of SME Sales Associates and Sales Executives
  • Own SME revenue targets and drive consistent over-performance
  • Monitor KPIs including pipeline health, conversion rates, retention, ARR, and activity metrics
  • Run pipeline reviews, forecasting sessions, and performance management routines
  • Deliver real-time call coaching across discovery, demo, objection handling, and negotiation
  • Partner with reps on key deals to accelerate deal velocity and commercial outcomes
    Embed strong sales processes, territory planning, and outbound playbooks
  • Collaborate with Revenue Operations, Marketing, and Partnerships to optimise lead quality and forecasting
  • Provide market insights to support product and segment strategy
  • Maintain CRM discipline and ensure effective use of sales tools
  
We’re Looking For
  
  • Experience leading or coaching a sales team within a SaaS environment (or a high-performing individual contributor ready to step into management)
  • Strong exposure to AML, KYC, Compliance, Risk, or RegTech solutions
  • Hands-on capability in deal and call coaching to improve conversion and sales performance
  • Data-driven mindset with experience managing pipeline, forecasting, and ARR metrics
  • Proven ability to develop and retain sales talent through coaching and career development
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, partnerships, and revenue operations
  • Familiarity with structured sales methodologies such as MEDDICC, SPIN, or Challenger
