Pre-Sales Technical Consultant – Transformation Specialist
Yorkshire (Hybrid – 2 days p/w onsite)
To 75k Base, 95k OTE + Great Benefits


We’re seeking a Pre-Sales Technical Consultant to play a pivotal role in shaping digital transformation opportunities for customers. This is a hybrid role with a mix of home and office-based work (2 days a week onsite), ideally suited to those within a 60-minute commute of York.


Working across a broad portfolio of vendors — Nutanix, Dell, HPE, Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, Veeam, Rubrik, Druva, Pure Storage, NetApp, Citrix, Omnissa — you’ll design and present solutions that cover server, storage, hyperconverged, networking, wireless, cloud (Azure/AWS), VDI, and SASE.

Pre-Sales Technical Consultant responsibilities:
  • Partner with sales to uncover and develop infrastructure, EUC, cloud, and hybrid opportunities.
  • Lead on tender responses, proposal writing, solution design, and bills of materials.
  • Promote transformation solutions across compute, storage, and cloud technologies.
  • Deliver compelling presentations that balance technical depth with commercial value.
  • Build strong customer, vendor, and internal relationships to maximise opportunity success.
  • Maintain and grow your technical accreditations, ensuring solutions remain cutting-edge.
Pre-Sales Technical Consultant skills, traits, and experience:
  • Proven reseller/channel experience with 5+ years in IT solutions pre-sales.
  • Strong skills in solution architecture, designing, presenting, and commercial positioning.
  • Confident in vSphere, Hyper-V, vSAN, Storage Spaces Direct, Fibre Channel, and Ethernet.
  • A clear communicator able to bridge the gap between technical detail and customer outcomes.
  • Commercially sharp with excellent time management and a proactive approach.
