Senior IT Specialist – Operations

£50,000–£55,000 per annum + bonus
Certus Recruitment is partnering with a global organisation to appoint a Senior IT Specialist to support and enhance core infrastructure operations across EMEA and Asiana, from a London headquarters base. This is a hands-on role for an experienced operations professional who wants to combine day-to-day stability, project delivery, and stakeholder-facing work within a modern hybrid setup.

Certus Recruitment is partnering with a global organisation to appoint a Senior IT Specialist to support and enhance core infrastructure operations across EMEA and Asiana, from a London headquarters base. This is a hands-on role for an experienced operations professional who wants to combine day-to-day stability, project delivery, and stakeholder-facing work within a modern hybrid setup.
The opportunity
- Take ownership of key infrastructure components (servers, networks, storage) to keep systems secure, resilient, and high performing.
- Act as an escalation point for complex operational issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business users across multiple regions.
- Contribute to upgrades, migrations, and rollouts, working closely with central IT and regional stakeholders.
- Work from a London office three days per week, with two days WFH as part of a balanced hybrid model.
- Monitor, maintain, and optimise infrastructure, including patching, capacity, and performance tuning.
- Provide advanced support on escalated tickets, system administration, and network troubleshooting.
- Implement and uphold security, compliance, and data protection controls in line with corporate standards.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors on services, implementations, and support activities.
- Partner with business units across EMEA and AsiaPac to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
- 5–7+ years in IT operations within an enterprise environment, covering servers, networks, and security.
- Strong experience with cloud technologies, virtualisation, and enterprise applications.
- A relevant IT or Computer Science degree (or equivalent experience) plus ideally certifications such as Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, or AWS.
- Confident communication skills and the ability to work effectively with international stakeholders.
