You’ll join a globally operating, highly respected advisory business working with complex, international stakeholders. The remit is strategic, senior, and broad: owning the people agenda, advising leadership, and building scalable HR foundations across jurisdictions.


This role suits someone who is confident operating at leadership level, comfortable with governance and ambiguity, and motivated by long-term progression rather than a purely operational HR post.


The Role

  • Define, own, and continuously evolve the people strategy in line with business objectives and ethical standards
  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, talent risk, and succession
  • Own HR governance, including the development and oversight of policies, frameworks, and best practice across regions
  • Ensure compliance with US and Canadian employment legislation, providing guidance and interpretation where needed
  • Oversee HR operations to ensure processes are effective, compliant, and scalable
  • Review HR metrics and recommend strategic interventions
  • Advise leadership on sensitive matters including performance management, restructures, and terminations
  • Support and mentor HR managers, building capability and consistency across the function
What They’re Looking For
  • 5+ years’ experience in a senior HR role within an international or multi-jurisdictional organisation
  • Strong working knowledge of US and Canadian employment law
  • Proven experience operating as a trusted advisor to senior leadership
  • Fluent English and French (written and spoken)
  • Confident handling sensitive, complex people matters with sound judgement
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance governance, culture, and commercial realities
  • Someone ready to step up into a future North America leadership role
