As a Robotics Perception Engineer, you’ll be a key contributor to the design and deployment of intelligent perception systems for advanced robotic platforms. Your focus will be on enabling real-time 3D understanding, localization, and navigation in dynamic, real-world environments.

As a Robotics Perception Engineer, you’ll be a key contributor to the design and deployment of intelligent perception systems for advanced robotic platforms. Your focus will be on enabling real-time 3D understanding, localization, and navigation in dynamic, real-world environments.
You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate perception into control and motion systems—bringing autonomous, full-body robotic behaviors to life.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing vision algorithms for object detection, depth estimation, scene segmentation, and 3D tracking.
- Fusing sensor data (camera, LiDAR, IMU, etc.) to achieve accurate real-time localization.
- Building scalable systems for data collection, training, testing, and performance tuning.
- Designing robust navigation and motion planning stacks.
- Ensuring efficient deployment of models on embedded platforms.
- Collaborating with AI, controls, and hardware teams to align perception with system-wide autonomy.
- MSc or PhD in Robotics, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or related disciplines.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Solid theoretical foundation in geometry, probability, and optimization.
- 3D scene understanding
- Depth estimation/stereo vision
- Object detection and tracking
- Visual-inertial SLAM or LiDAR mapping
- Navigation and planning for autonomous systems
- Experience working with humanoid or legged robots (advantageous).
- Familiarity with ROS 2, CUDA, TensorRT, ONNX, or model optimization techniques.
- Contributions to open-source projects or relevant academic publications.
- Compensation: $250,000 – $270,000 salary + stock options
