Fractional GTM & Growth Lead
Austin preferred | US Remote considered
Fractional | Circa 2–3 days per week
Certus Recruitment is partnering with a growing international business looking to bring in an experienced Fractional GTM Leader to help define, build and prove its next stage of commercial growth.
This is not a traditional advisory assignment.
The business has established its proposition, built a global team and secured significant enterprise business, but has yet to turn that success into a clearly defined, repeatable go-to-market engine.
They now need someone who can help build it – and then get hands-on in proving that it works.
The Opportunity
Working directly with the Founder, you'll take ownership of developing the commercial blueprint for the next phase of growth.
That will include sharpening the ICP and market segmentation, refining the proposition and messaging, identifying the most effective routes to market and developing a repeatable sales motion.
However, this isn't a role for someone who simply creates the strategy and hands over a playbook.
You'll also work directly in the market – opening conversations, engaging senior decision-makers, developing strategic relationships and helping convert the strategy into new customers.
The aim is to establish a GTM model that works in practice and can ultimately be scaled through a permanent commercial team.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who has previously built and executed GTM strategies within an entrepreneurial, founder-led or growth-stage business.
You'll ideally bring experience of complex, relationship-led B2B sales where the buyer sits at senior executive level and where success requires more than high-volume outbound activity.
Experience selling into HR, Employee Benefits, Wellbeing, People or adjacent enterprise markets would be particularly valuable, although we're more interested in relevant GTM experience and evidence of building something successfully than an exact sector match.
You should be equally comfortable defining strategy and personally getting involved in execution.
This means talking to customers, testing propositions, opening doors, developing opportunities and adapting the model based on what the market is actually telling you.
This Could Suit
A former senior GTM leader or builder with 0-1 experience who now works fractionally and enjoys getting close to the commercial challenge rather than simply advising from the sidelines.
Austin would be advantageous, particularly given the opportunity to work closely with the Founder, but we're open to exceptional people elsewhere in the US.
Initial commitment is expected to be approximately 2–3 days per week, with flexibility around the right individual.
If you've built a GTM engine before and still enjoy rolling your sleeves up to prove it works, we'd like to hear from you.
