We’re Hiring: IT Manager (hands on) to lead a small team of 1-2 people
Regents Park, NSW (22km west of Sydney CBD) 5 days per week in office for first 3 months; 3 days per week in office 3 months after in the role
$110K–$120K base + super, Permanent Full-Time
3–5 days per week in the office
This role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders to lead and implement key projects and initiatives, while leading a small team. It blends functional expertise with leadership, focusing on gathering business requirements, driving system improvements, and ensuring successful project execution. You will lead an internal small team and play a key role in shaping the future of our IT Infrastructure.

We’re looking for a hands-on IT Manager to lead and support a small team while staying deeply involved in day-to-day technical operations. This role is ideal for someone with 3–5 years of IT management experience, who has led a small team (1–2 people maximum) and brings strong Level 3 support expertise.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading end-to-end IT operations (L1–L3 support) across infrastructure, cloud, and business systems
- Managing Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, networking (LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls), and security tools
- Acting as the escalation point for complex technical issues
- Administering infrastructure (AD, DNS, DHCP, Azure AD, backups, monitoring)
- Driving cybersecurity initiatives (MFA, patching, endpoint protection, DR planning)
- Maintaining IT governance, SOPs, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Supporting internal projects, system integrations, and AI adoption strategies
- Leading and mentoring a small IT team while remaining hands-on
What we’re looking for:
- 3-5+ years’ experience in IT infrastructure & support (L1–L3),
- Leadership experience/Managing a small team of 1-2 people (hands on leader required)
- Strong hands-on skills across servers, networks, cloud, and end-user support
- Experience with Microsoft ecosystem, Google Workspace, and networking environments
- Exposure to AutoCAD/Revit, Adobe Creative Suite support (highly regarded)
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership
