Key Details
- Based in Melbourne
- ️ Mandarin speaking is essential
- ✈️ Willing to travel to Hong Kong for approximately two weeks, once or twice per year
- No visa sponsorship available - applicants must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Reports directly to the Head of Compliance
- Supports the Australia, Hong Kong and China region
- Salary: $140,000-$155,000 + Super (up to $160K may be considered for an exceptional candidate)

This is a strategic, hands-on role supporting teams across Australia, Hong Kong and China. You'll partner with senior leaders to shape people strategy, drive organisational effectiveness, and build scalable HR frameworks that support continued business growth.
What you'll be doing
- Partner with senior leaders to provide strategic and operational HR advice.
- Lead remuneration, salary benchmarking and workforce planning initiatives.
- Develop and maintain job grading, organisational structures and position classifications.
- Support organisational growth, restructures, succession planning and change initiatives.
- Provide guidance on performance management, employee relations and employment legislation.
- Review and develop HR policies, procedures and best practices.
- Collaborate with leadership to enhance employee engagement and organisational capability.
About you
- 5-7+ years' experience in an HR Business Partner, HR Manager or similar strategic HR role.
- Strong experience in remuneration, compensation and benefits, and salary benchmarking.
- Experience in organisational design and workforce planning.
- Excellent knowledge of Australian employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
- Commercially minded with the ability to work autonomously.
- Fluent Mandarin (spoken and written) is essential.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline are highly regarded.
