Certus Recruitment is working with an established financial SaaS business entering an exciting new phase of growth.

Our client provides a cloud-based financial management and accounting platform designed to give organisations a modern alternative to slow, disconnected legacy finance systems.

With 20 years behind the business, a proven SaaS product and an established customer base, they are now investing in their next stage of expansion – bringing a genuine scale-up mentality to an already successful software company.

We’re looking for a new-business SaaS salesperson who enjoys creating opportunities, engaging senior decision-makers and closing deals.
This isn't an account management role. You'll own the sales process from identifying and developing opportunities through to close, selling into mid-market organisations and engaging with CFOs, finance leaders and other C-level stakeholders.

The role:
  • Win new mid-market customers and develop your own pipeline
  • Sell a proven financial SaaS platform to senior finance and business leaders
  • Combine inbound opportunities with proactive outbound prospecting
  • Navigate 3–6 month, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
  • Build compelling business cases for CFO and C-suite decision-makers
  • Run demos and consultative sales conversations
  • Work closely with technical teams through onboarding and go-live
  • Have genuine input into customer acquisition strategy as the business scales
We're looking for:
  • 2+ years' experience closing new business within SaaS/software
  • A demonstrable "hunter" mentality and willingness to self-generate opportunities
  • Experience selling to mid-market organisations
  • Confidence engaging CFOs and other C-suite stakeholders
  • Strong consultative and solution-selling skills
  • Experience within financial SaaS, FinTech, accounting software, ERP or related technology would be particularly relevant, although isn't essential
  • An understanding of accounting principles – or the ability to learn them quickly enough to speak the language of a CFO
  • The ability to work autonomously without needing to be micromanaged
You'll work predominantly remotely, with weekly time in the London Waterloo office, alongside some UK travel to meet prospects and customers.

25 days' holiday | Pension | Laptop | Phone/internet expenses | 3 paid charity days

This could particularly suit someone currently selling financial SaaS or another business-critical software platform who likes the energy and influence of a scale-up, but wants the security of joining an established and proven software business.
